Farman No - 151 to 159.
Haq Mawlana Dhani Salamat Datar Sarkar Aga Sultan Muhammad Shah Imam has made the following Farman:
(312) I have one request for you: just as I do not forget you, do not forget me either.
(313) During the time of Noor, I pray for all my murids. I pray for all my murids for two hours during the time of Noor. For all the young, elderly, married, unmarried, women, girls, married girls, unmarried girls, the poor, and the rich, I pray that God keeps your imaan steadfast. May your deeds be righteous. I pray that you understand your din explicitly. All your deeds be good. Do not commit evil deeds in the world, do not speak lies, act truthfully. These are my prayers for you, day and night.
Inshallah, May there be barkat in your wealth and children. Firstly, I pray for your din; may you remain steadfast in your din; then, I pray for your deeds; may your deeds be righteous; and afterwards, I pray for the world; may you act righteously in the world; and may everything good come to you.
(314) Keep my Farman in your heart and ears. I am making the Farman for your benefit.
Your name is Darvesh, and my name is also Darvesh. If someone were to ask me, 'How is your religion?' I would first reply that our religion is that of Darveshi. The Darveshi Religion is the best among others, and your religion is also one of Darveshi, which is excellent.
If a poor person amongst you passes away, then all of you must participate in his funeral. There is a lot of benefit in each step that you take to attend the funeral of a brother-in-faith. When a poor person gets married, then you must go to the house of the poor as you would go to the house of the rich; but do not make him spend on tea, drinks, paan (betle leaves), etc.
(315) I am showing you the path and clearing the way by removing the stones along it. Now, whether to tread that path or not is up to your willingness.
I have made Farman to you on the matters of religion. Do not forget it. act according to it. Become lovers of God and be intoxicated with God’s love.
You must think about where the soul (ruh) has come from and where it will return. Keep my Farman firmly in your heart; do not forget it. Do not be even slightly negligent.
For two hours in a day, you must think, "Where has the soul come from and where shall it return?" You should perform noble deeds. Noble deeds are righteous and full of virtues (khubi).
Your heart must have thoughts such as, "Where has the soul come from? And where shall it return?" Do not separate that thought from your heart. All this affection is for your thoughts and your love. I wish love for you, and therefore, I am showing you the righteous path.
(316) It is not that I feel pleased when you give me something; rather, I feel happy when you act upon my Farman.
Between momins there must always be (ekdili) and unity.
Read the history of the Fatimid Ismaili Imams, who were the kings in Egypt, read the history of my forefathers, who ruled Egypt for two to three hundred years.
(317) What would a fool understand? They may not even know the difference between Shah Ismail and Musa Kazim, and what occurred at that time? You should read our history and see how many persecutions were inflicted.
How many persecutions were inflicted upon Shah Khalilullah during the time of Shah Hasan Ali? Many murids were massacred forty to fifty years ago; nevertheless, they did not give up their faith (din). Many atrocities were inflicted! Seventy thousand murids were killed, yet they did not abandon their din. Like them, you should also become lovers of the din.
Al-Hamdulillah, there is peace in the present time. You should also become such that you never forsake the din. Let life be sacrificed, but do not abandon the din. Let your head be sacrificed, but do not leave the din.
Your eyes, tongue, and hands must all be pure. There must be truth, truth, and only truth in everything. A person with such qualities is certainly an angel.
(320) Imaan is in one’s own hands. If you desire to attain the life hereafter (akhirat), then you should keep your soul engrossed in the love and affection of God. Always remain absorbed in the thoughts of God. Do not forsake the thought of God, even for a moment. I do not say to leave worldly business; instead, conduct your business with honesty and integrity.
Hazrat Amirul Mominin once prayed to God that, “O’ God! I do not perform Ibadat out of the desire for Paradise or fear of hell, I understand that God, you are worthy of Ibadat."
It is necessary for a human being’s (insaan) to carry love for God in his heart. How steadfast do human beings remain in their love for the world and how much hardship and restlessness does he endure? Love for God should be kept thousands of times greater than that.
(321) develop that Noor day by day with love. Day and night is of twenty-four hours, from it work ten to twelve hours for the world, sleep for six hours, sit for one hour comfortably and always remember God for three to four hours. Abstain from evil deeds like speaking lies, committing unlawful acts, missappropriating others’ wealth, etc.
God wishes from you that you perform Bandagi-Ibadat. Remember God while standing, sitting, and walking.
(322) You should muster courage, come to Jamatkhana regularly, discuss on Ginans, and strengthen the foundation of your imaan on Ismaili din day by day.
Raise the flag of our religion’s truth in the world, meaning to follow more truthfully, so that other communities may praise our religion and say how truthfully the murids of Aga Khan act. When you are praised in the world in this way, only then will my efforts be worthwhile.
Protect your secret like a diamond. Keep your hearts pure.
At the time of maghrib, leave your work and attend Jamatkhana regularly. Due to worldly tasks, do not let the time of din, which is an opportunity, slip away from your hand.
Come to Jamatkhana during the time of Maghrib. Attach your hearts to God for an hour and perform Bandagi.
At midnight, sitting disengaged for half an hour, think precisely about din; definitely think of it. Do not let the Farmans of Hazar Imam be forgotten from the heart.
(323) Your din is a free (azaad) din. Your din is Haqiqati. It is a clean din.
I am present all the times before you in the Jamatkhana, not far from you. I am even closer to you than your own hands. When you take my name in Jamatkhana, I am present with you at that moment. Even though I am far away, if you have love for me, I will be present with you. I never forget you.
Your din is like the ring of the Prophet Solomon. Do not lose that ring from your hand. It should not happen that Prophet Solomon’s ring slips from your hand.
(324) The wicked will never be at peace.
When you get up in the morning, always attach your heart to God. If you reflect regularly in your heart, a light will naturally emerge.
(324) Look! In earlier time, Prophet Noah had a son who did not stay in the din of Noah; therefore, he became a Kafir.
(325) If anything happens to you concerning your din, then sacrifice wealth, children, and your life, but do not lose the din.
You should perform Dua-Bandagi on time with love and affection.
I forgive all the sins you have committed up to today. Do not commit sins from now on.
(326) In the entire world, whoever serves me, wherever they may be, I recognize them. I know everything.
I am very happy to see you. Just as you feel happy to see me, I feel even happier to see you. I love you much more than you love me, and I am always thinking of your love.
I always pray for you. My prayers will help purify your heart. I pray that your hearts always remain clean. Your soul will always be pure. I pray this for all the Jamats.
I have shown you a clean and straight path, and now your imaan is in your own hands.
If you listen to My Farman and act accordingly, the heart will become clean, and there will be light in your heart.
(327) The entire day may be spent on worldly trade and business, but failing to come for Bandagi for just one hour at the time of Maghrib is an injustice. It is like doing injustice to one’s own self.
You, the Khojas, are very good for urging me to safeguard your imaan. I pray for you all that your imaan may remain safeguarded. This is all in your hands.
(328) Listening to my Farman, it is essential for you to keep your heart clean like a mirror; then God will draw closer to you, and you will become like angels. Cleanse your heart like a mirror. When there is dirt or rust on a mirror, the light of the sun cannot penetrate it. When the mirror is clean, the Noor enters.
(329) You have the most invaluable, real diamond, and you are seated in a train. Will you sleep if a thief is with you? You won't sleep. You know that your din is more valuable than the gem. There is no other din better than your din.
Even if there were thousands of priceless diamonds and ornaments, they would not equate to even the smallest fraction, not even one hair's worth, of the value of your din. Your din is so precious; therefore, don’t become neglectful of it.
Allowing a thief to sit with you is not right. It is incumbent upon a man to remain alert to the thief, meaning he should stay vigilant. If you are on a train where there is a thief, get off and board another train.
(330) Reflect on my Farman. My Farmans have thousands of meanings. Acquire its understanding and follow accordingly, so that you are never deceived by Satan or the thief.
My Farmans have thousands of meanings, but presently, it is not appropriate for me to explain everything openly. However, just as you interpret the Ginans, similarly, interpret my Farman. The wisdom and secrets that lie within them should be understood.
Interpret the meaning of each and every word of my Farman, as many secrets are hidden within them that should be realized. Always read the Farman that I make. Interpret them. Reflect on them.
Interpret the meaning of the Ginans and Farman for an hour.
Reflect for an hour: What is the soul? When one develops such a habit, one becomes a momin. Only through such reflections will you become aware of the qualities and faith (din) of a momin.
During your leisure time, avoid discussing worldly love and reading worldly books. Instead, read books that provide guidance on din; study the Ginan ilm, from which you will gain benefit.
(331) Wherever there are angels (malayek), ghosts do not come. Understand the purpose of this. After hearing my Farman, do not forget it—always keep it in your heart. Stay away from committing bad deeds. Do not consider this matter insignificant; it is very significant.
(332) I have worked so hard and made so many Farmans, even then, if your deeds are not good, then what can I do? Do not let my Farman and hard work go in vain.
(332) It is not enough to simply hear my Farman; it is your duty to reflect on it, seek its meaning, and understand its purpose. What can be gained if you let it go in one ear and out the other? Instead, sit together, read them, and uncover their meanings.
Someone asks, 'What does this Farman mean?' another should be able to reply, 'Its purpose is such and such.' In this way, discuss and share with one another.
Farmans were made during the times of all the Prophets, and their meanings were also sought out. In the same way, you too should seek the meanings of my Farmans.
You do not pay attention to the purpose of the Farman, you will forget it.
(333) Avoid committing sins at the root level.
You should glorify the din. It is reasonable that the brothers-in-faith and sisters-in-faith gather and discuss din. There is no obstruction in this regard. gathering to joke around and make fun is very bad and sinful.
You, as momins, should behave in such a way that you do not harm one another. Even if someone beats you with a stick, remain silent. Have patience. There is great benefit in acting this way.
(334) A momin's mouth should never utter contempt or bad words. A momin's mouth is like a garden, filled with fragrant flowers.
You should always be engrossed in your din. You should always think about din.
You seek Ishq-e-Haqiqi.
Act with love and affection. Aspire to reach a greater place, higher up. Hope to reach a greater place. Always be in remembrance of God. Perform such deeds.
It is a sin for a young person to beg, and it is also a sin to give him alms. Tell him, lift stones on the road or become a porter, but do not beg. This (advice) is for men.
A woman is helpless and has no money, then help her at once.
It is incumbent upon a momin not to be displeased with the condition that God has put them in.
(335) My religion is Ismaili, and your religion is also Ismaili.
The Sufi religion bears resemblance to our Ismaili religion.
Originally (asal), we were one. What kind of belief is this?
(336) Act in such a way and conduct such deeds that you reach your Original Abode (asal makaan), the best place from where you have come from.
If you do not follow my Farman, you will be stained with black spots like the marks of black ink.
