KALAME IMAME MUBIN PART - 1
Recording - 3
Recording - 3
Farman No - 17 to 42.
Haq Mawlana Dhani Salamat Datar Sarkar Aga Sultan Muhammad Shah Imam has made the following Farman:
(49) If a man performs the Bandagi of God diligently, then He will grant him the best reward in the world, and his speech and deeds (karamat) will be righteous.
When one keeps such a fast as to stay away from all worldly pleasures, then esoteric (batini) eye and ear open.
The human being (insaan) does not have the power to create a man, but he can see in such a way that he may know the secret and miracle of God.
Hazrat Amirul Mominin and the Prophet said, “Salmaan Faras holds the status of Ahl-e-Bayat.” Initially, Salmaan was a kafir, then he observed abstinence and refrained from worldly pleasures, only then God granted him the rulership extending from Abu Shahr to Baghdad.
When Salmaan Faras went to rule as per the Farman, he had nothing with him. He had just a sword and the Quran. Salmaan used to say that “I have a sword to fight in the path of God, and the Quran is to attain liberation from the world, as well as for reading when I become free from worldly affairs.”
(50) Hazrat Isa said, “Even the best of the best in the world commit sins seven times a day.”
On the Day of Judgement, Nabi Rasool will hold the hand of the (followers) Ummat; but one who does not recognize; his hand will not be held. Do not think that all the Ummat is Ummat; only the one who has recognized is Ummat.
One who has performed Bandagi will receive an abode (makaan), as you know, but those who have recognition (shanakhat) will receive a greater abode.
(51) Do not think that the soul will enter Paradise, it is not so; it will enter Paradise only in its original (asal) form. One who has performed truthful Bandagi will sit in the presence of Murtaza Ali.
It is not such that you will be before God with the same body and the same face, and you will be young, and your face will have Noor on it, and it is also not such that the eighty-year-old will become young, but you will enter Paradise with the Noorani body.
It is said that “Intellect should be like a snake, and when in grief, one must become like a pigeon.” If you could become like a snake without hurting anyone, that would be better.
When three hundred and thirteen Haqiqati become one at heart (ek-dil), keeping the intellect like a snake and becoming humble like a pigeon, then the Revelation (Zahuraat) will occur!
Don’t you know how sinful it is to utter even one abuse? If you knew this, you would refrain from abusing.
If the world (duniya) were to know and see beforehand the agony of hell and the fruits (meva) of Paradise, they would not care about the world.”
Mawlana Hazar Imam then made the Farman:
“Repentance on the Day of Judgement will be of no use. (“Mahadan’ ka roya Kuch kaam nahi ave”)
(52) Those who go in the presence of Murtaza Ali, see with an esoteric (batini) eye. They see Murtaza Ali with their eyes, but through esoteric (batin), they see the Noor of Mawla Ali.
The people of the world also see Murtaza Ali, but the Haqiqatis see him in a different way, and you are aware of the condition in which they (Haqiqatis) see Murtaza Ali in Paradise! Those who are in the presence of God and at an exalted stage are five to seven only.
Fear God and be cautious that no other letter (haraf) is uttered until your last breath.
Inshallah, if you always remember Murtaza Ali and do zikr until the last breath, he will hold your hand and help you.
(52) “Once, Hazrat Amirul-Mominin Mawla Murtaza Ali went to the banks of the ‘Euphrates’ (Phurat) river and, riding on a horse, arrived at a community that believed in ‘Ali Allah’. That community, the one believing in ‘Ali Allah’, is such that they regard Murtaza Ali as God. Calling one person of that community, he asked, “Do you say Ali Allah?” The man replied, “It is my faith that you are God!”
Thereafter, Mawla Murtaza Ali cut off his head and killed him, and then resurrected him and asked, “Why do you call me Ali Allah?” In reply, the man pleaded, “You killed and then resurrected me, so whatever doubt that I had earlier has now gone. You are truly ‘Ali Allah!”
(53) Murtaza Ali ordered; “Take this man and throw him from the top of the hill so that he is torn into pieces.” Thereby, he was thrown as ordered. After resurrecting him, Mawla Murtaza Ali asked, “Do you still say Ali Allah? Then he replied faithfully, “The one who cuts into pieces, kills, and then resurrects, on him my faith (imaan) has increased!”
In this manner, he was killed in many ways, many times, and then resurrected and asked each time, “Do you still say Ali Allah?” He gives the same reply every time, “You are truly Allah! The one who kills and then resurrects must be called Allah!”
Mawlana Hazar Imam then made the Farman:
“Whatever may be the Murshid’s Farman, it must be obeyed. Regarding this, He quoted a couplet (Baiet) and said, “If the Murshid orders you to recite Namaz after doing ablution (wazu) with alcohol, then too this farman should be obeyed.”
He knows what a bad thing alcohol is. Nevertheless, if there is an order, then it should be followed. Pir Murshid knows the path that leads to Paradise.
When you go to another country and are not aware of the way and if the guide tells you to tread a certain path, then you must tread that path. If one does not obey his command, one cannot reach home or find a way. When you are not aware, and if he asks to tread that path by taking off the turban (pagdi), then you must do so accordingly.
I pose this question to you; if you are unaware of the route, should you not follow the instructions of a guide?”
Thereafter, Mawlana Hazar Imam made the Farman:
(54) “When the guide is with you and if he leads you to someone’s house wherein its owner may not be present and if he says, “Since I am here, you need not worry!” and if he says, “Sit here!” then you should sit there because he knows.
Murshid knows everything. If he says, “Prostrate before liquor instead of the symbol, then do it,” because the Farman of Murshid must be obeyed.
Murtaza Ali is great! His Farmans must be obeyed because, with his power, he can forgive sins and send one to Paradise.
Whatever Farman is made at any given time, it should be obeyed lovingly, and one must act as instructed in the Farman. Even if certain matters are beyond your understanding, you must act according to Pir Murshid’s Farmans, because he is all-aware.
Only when one follows the guide’s instructions, one can reach the destination. If you also tread accordingly, then you will reach the destination; if not, then you will not reach it.”
(56) “You should not seek a test (parakh) for yourselves because the test (parakh) is indeed very difficult!
There was a man who lived in Shah-e-Najaf. He used to practise Bandgi-Ibadat a lot. Everyday, he used to weep and beseech: "Ya Ali! Give me an opportunity so that I can join the holy war (jang-e-jehad), that is, I can fight and defeat the enemy of faith (din) and offer my head i.e. sacrifice my head by fighting in the war." In this manner, for forty years, he used to weep and beseech always during Bandgi.
(57) Mawla Murtaza Ali, sent the weapons and a horse for him along with his man who brought the weapons and the horse to him and said, “Get up! Mawla Ali has sent these weapons and a horse for you, therefore, get ready to fight.”
That man replied, “Tell Mawla Ali to fight today, I will fight tomorrow.”
The world had become dearer to this man, now that he had a new wife, a house to live in and delicious food to eat. Thus, he had got trapped in greed.”
“Why am I not putting you to the test? You are not able to fulfil the test that has been already set for you, i.e. to give one rupee out of every ten rupees.
(58) God is not in need of money but has set a test for you; that you are not able to give. So, which another test do I set for you?
“You, the Jamat, must not ask for the test (parakh) for your selves.
Practise Bandgi-Ibadat and recognize God.
Mawla Ali said: “If I don't see God, I cannot perform Ibadat either.”
If one can not see God with his eyes, then his eyes are blind.
In this way, by making Farmans referring to Shariat and Tariqat, it has been explained to you. What it means is that if one cannot see God, then his Bandgi is not acknowledged.
He who does Bandgi without recognizing God and Hazar Imam has blind eyes because Hazar Imam is seated and yet he does not recognize Him.”
This din of yours is true! At midnight, an angel (malayak) descends from the heavens and announces: “Is there any worshipper of God (band-e-Khuda) who repents his sins, so that I can take his request to God and have it acknowledged! Is there anyone for whom I can recommend anything that he requests from God?' At every midnight, an angel makes such an announcement.”
Mawlana Hazar Imam then made the Farman:
“Hazrat Imam Aga Alishah Datar had made a Farman: "Perform Ya Ali's Bandgi at midnight; the reward (sawaab) that you get from it would be yours and any sin or offence caused therein would be mine.
(62) The human soul (jiv) is very dear to God; therefore, seek forgiveness (tauba) for the liberation of that jiv; because the jiv, which is so dear to God, should not be allowed to fall into hell.
Tauba is accepted when the aql (reason) of a man is in the proper state, but if forgiveness (tauba) is sought later, it is not accepted.
(63) “I make this Farman for the salvation of all the Haqiqati Jamat.
You, all the Panjebhais, should become one-hearted (ek-dil) and come to Jamatkhana and practice Bandagi. May God forgive your sins, and you leave the world purified, and enter Paradise, and are blessed with deedar!
(64) I will be pleased only when none of my murids pass away from the world condemned as sinners.
(65) It is essential for a man, to think about the thing (cheej) that is placed in his mind.
"Imam Hussain is ever-present in all places."
(66) “It is incumbent on a man (insaan) to give the Imam a place in his heart. Consider yourself to be nothing. Let go of your pride so that the Imam can reside in your heart, but you do not follow these practices.
Mawlana Hazar Imam then made the Farman:
“There are four types of men in the world:
The first type of men are those who love me and do not love the world. Their hearts are towards me; therefore, I remember them all the time. They are here with me and will remain with me there.
The second type of men are those who love me as well as the world. I pray for them that their love for the world may decrease and their love for me increases.
(67) The third type of men are those who do not love me but only love the world. They do not cause me pain. When they do not care for me, then even I do not care for them. Let them be as they please. I have left them.
The fourth type of men are those who love the world and do not love me and cause me pain. Therefore, I pray that may God keep me away from them.
In this way, there are four categories of men.
Now, one will benefit according to one’s imaan.
(70) Satan appears in many forms; he comes in the form of a man. Satan comes in a thousand forms; it also comes in the form of the learned and the intelligent, let it not deceive you. Satan comes in the form of a man, before another man and robs him of his faith (imaan).
Satan runs away from the momin who says Dua-Ginans. One who has Dua-Ginans in his heart, has a righteous heart.
The one who does not practice Ibadat is not eating his lawful livelihood and Satan takes control of his heart (dil) and steals his faith (imaan).
If you follow the path of the Ginans, I would be pleased here and would be pleased there as well.”
(72) Those who know Ginans and interpret their meaning, ask them to share and read Ginans for you. Understand its meaning properly. Others read books but fail to understand their meanings; you should not do that. You will benefit if you read the Ginans and understand them, otherwise, what will you gain?
(73) Act according to the meaning of the Ginans.
It is a practice in the world that one earns one rupee while another earns a thousand rupees. However, the one who earns a legitimate (halal) livelihood and then eats from it is the most righteous. Earning one rupee truthfully (of haq) is better than earning a thousand rupees illegitimately (haram). If you can earn one thousand rupees legitimately and one lakh illegitimately, then it is better to earn one thousand legitimately.
If someone gives you five rupees willingly as a reward, it is legitimate.
(74) Attend Jamatkhana regularly and recite Dua. Do not forget this advice, and if you act upon it, then, inshallah, you will benefit here and in akhirat as well. Khanavadan.”
(74) It is better for a man (insaan) to be oppressed (mazloom) rather than to become an oppressor (zalim).
I ask for neither your wealth nor your life; it’s only your heart that I ask for! Act in such a way that your heart is inclined towards your din, that is what I ask for.
(75) Even if I have only one son, my din will continue to shine.
There was one among my lovers (Aashak) who was like the Mukhi/Kamadia and used to visit all the Jamat. In the land of Syria (Sham/Damascus), this lover had his skin peeled away, and burning candles were placed on his body. He exclaimed, “O God! I desired such pride that burning candles would be placed on my body and I would be paraded through the regions of Syria (Sham).
“It is essential for the Jamat to be patient.
A person’s actions reflect the nature of their heart.
(77) Your din is true. It did not originate from books, but from love.
The ilm for you is ‘Ginan’.
It has been 1300 years since the Quran-e-Sharif was revealed; it is for the inhabitants of Arabia. ‘Ginan’ is seven hundred years old. You should act according to the Ginans given to you.
(78) “Just as people take care of their wealth, in the same manner, a momin takes care of his imaan. For example, when a rider sits on a horse and lets the rein get out of his grasp, he falls. It is the same with imaan too.
A person mounts a horse and holds tightly to the reins. If he then meets someone along the way and engages in conversation without paying attention to the reins, his heart’s attention is divided on two sides. The rider, whose attention is divided between two sides, falls from the horse. The horse or the person he encountered is not to blame for his fall; the fault lies with the rider, who failed to take care of himself.
The nafs in the form of a horse is Satan, the rider mounted on it is the momin, and the rein is the imaan.
Many people protect their faith (imaan) for twenty or thirty years, but then lose it and fall.
If the horse rider carefully holds the reins but then releases them, he will fall. This is his own fault; the horse is not to blame. Protecting the imaan is in your own hands.
Just as you evaluate whether your business will be profitable or loss-making, you should also take five to ten minutes to reflect on your imaan. Ask yourself, 'Is my imaan safeguarded or not?' By doing so, you will understand its true value.
(79) If the horse rider lets go of the reins, he will fall. However, if he holds the reins attentively, he will reach his destination safely.
I have given you an example, but you should act according to the explanations provided in the Ginans.
All the clarifications of your din are given in the Ginans.
Just as your forefathers walked the path of this din, you must also follow it.
(83) The Bandagi of Baitul-Khyaal member is secret (maqfi) that is, batini, and is practiced in solitude.
(87) There should be five or ten of you who are free from worldly concerns and financial worries. If they practice our din, they will become proficient in delivering waez, and it will have an impact on people.
They must study the Ginan as well as the history so that they understand how the asal (true) people treaded (the path).
(88) You are eating the outer shells of almonds, but you have not relished the flavor of the kernel (magaz). If you eat the kernel (magaz), you will gain a deeper understanding of the din and achieve greater trust and happiness.
(89) There are some who rely on others, but that should not be done. Everyone should think for themselves and find out their own path. your mind (magaz) deeply to it so that you become immediately enlightened in din. If you think about my din with intellect, you will gain greater understanding.
My din is built upon intellect (aql). Without using your intellect, you will not learn much or gain anything significant. However, by applying your intellect, you will achieve a deeper understanding.
The din whose pillar is not based on the intellect will get worn out and will not last at all.
Your faith (din) is based on the intellect (aql), but you have placed it on a bier, that’s why your efforts remain deficient.
(90) You eat the outer shells of the almond but do not consume the kernel (magaz), and thus you do not know the essence (khubi) of the kernel.
What will you gain if you wash the body with water? Nothing at all. The true benefit comes from cleansing it from within.
(93) You are interested in everything that is exoteric (zahiri), you are not paying any attention to esoteric (batini) matters. All that is exoteric (zahiri) is concerned with the world (duniya); you must have your sight on the esoteric (batin). If you look at the esoteric (batin), only then will your tasks be accomplished.
The interpretation of the Ginan is four-fold, which you should read with proper understanding.
(94) Leaving aside the essence (magaz) of the fruit, you eat its skin; do not eat its skin but eat its essence (magaz).
(94) You have a thousand kinds of debts. When a person is born, they bring debt with them. The greatest debt upon you is to purify yourself.
(95) From the Farman that I give now, read what liberates your soul (jiv).
(96) Consider my Farmans to be precious; if you treat them as ordinary, you will be at loss.
(98) At most, a person will live for a hundred years in this world. Regardless of whether one is young or old, death will come to all.
(100) One who is a momin will be like a carefree lion. He will have nothing to fear. His path is straight and easy. Such a momin remains least concerned even on departing the world. Once freed from this world, he will pass away peacefully. For a Haqiqati momin, there lies no benefit in the world, no happiness in the world. I, too, consider this world as a prison. For a momin, Paradise awaits after death.
(101) For the momin, in the world, there is nothing. For the wise and intelligent momin, the world is hell for him. But one who is a donkey, an animal, thinks about eating, wandering, sitting, and performing marriages of children; he has no intellect. If a momin is intelligent and reflects, then the world will appear to him as hell.
The sign of a momin is that he understands he must go close to God and bring God close to him.
The soul (ruh) that is in the body (badan) is in prison. It is incumbent upon a momin to have the soul freed from prison and to keep it in a good place.
As long as the soul is in the body, it is imprisoned. It will not be seen. Until the soul is in the body, it will not be able to see anywhere. When it comes out of the body, it will see everywhere. But, as long as it remains in the body, it will not be able to see either forward, backward, sideways, or anywhere. The momin must harbor the thought that it will be better if he gets out of prison.
Understand, what is the soul? You will then realize that your soul is imprisoned in the body, and until then it will not be able to see anywhere.
(102) It is obligatory upon a human being to be like someone who is thirsty and ready for death.
If even one of you follows the Farman, then I will be happy, as if I have made Farman for ten hours, and he will also reap its benefits.
(103) When a Haqiqati momin recognizes God, God become close to him. A Haqiqati momin sees God everywhere. In the heart (dil) of a Haqiqati momin, God is indeed seated!
As a momin’s love for God grows deeper and deeper, he gets nearer and nearer to God; he directly sees God.
(104) While practicing God’s Ibadat, do not keep any thought of the world in your heart.
Look! A moth, out of love and affection upon seeing the light, burns itself (jaan). They possess such intense love and affection that innumerable moths sacrifice their lives (jeev).
You too should have a similar love for God. You must become such lovers.
For example, you have two sons. One of them has somewhat less affection for you and demands a thousand rupees from you when you are on your deathbed, while the other son has a lot more affection for you, continues to nurse you while you are dying, and does not ask anything from you. Between these two sons, which one will be dearer to you? You must think about this.
(105) You should also have such thoughts. Foster love and affection for God. Perform Ibadat and Bandagi only with love and devotion.
Mawlana Hazar Imam then made the Farman:
“Just as I am pure and clean, you too should become like me. There is no grudge, deceit, or jealousy in my heart; similarly, you too should not hold grudges, deceit, or jealousy in your hearts. You should take my example; you should behave as I do.
Wishing good for yourself while reciting Dua and drinking Niyaz is beneficial. But also praying for your brothers-in-faith is even more beneficial than that.”
Ya Ali Madad
